The two in the middle may either be a mob burrow or a treasure burrow.

Above is the start burrow. It will drop a Griffin Feather, Crown of Greed, Washed-Up Souvenir, or coins.

How To Deal With The Mobs

As the rarest and best-selling items come from mob drops, it’s very important that you know how the best strategies to defeating these mobs. If you’re an early-game player, you won’t be able to take these on, as they have hundreds of thousands, if not millions of health.

Gear You’ll Need

There are two ways to deal with them: Melee or Mage. I would highly recommend Mage over melee, as Melee requires you to spam-click a lot. And that gets tiring over time.

Melee

For armor sets, you only have a few options: Superior Dragon Armor (if you want more magic find), Shadow Assassin (if you can’t afford Necron’s), and Necron’s Armor.

For the weapon, you’ll want a Sword of Revelations. Note: it’s almost always cheaper to buy one off of the auction house, rather than crafting one yourself.

For the pet, you’re stuck with the griffin pet. However, you’re going to want to put a Crochet Tiger Plushie pet item on it, for more attack speed.

For the strategy, there really isn’t much besides spam-clicking. You need to life-steal. Dealing with the inquisitor is decently tough, but with practice, it’s not too bad.

I’ll cover how to deal with the individual mobs later.

Mage

For armor sets, there are a few options: Wisdom 5 Elegant Tux or Wisdom 5 Storm’s Armor. Wise Dragon Armor is ok, but you really want Tux or Storm’s. With Tux and Storm, you want to use the Wither Goggles, as all of the mythological mobs count as “Undead” for some reason.

The Tux set gives you a ton more damage, but also makes you more squishy. From my experience, the Inquisitor two-taps you, meaning that you can survive one hit (note that I have all of the Fairy Souls, and the tux set has Hot Potato Books for that extra defense). The best way to deal with all mobs are to run in a circle around them (make sure you have a god pot active), while spamming your Midas Staff. You have to keep dodging their attacks, so I wouldn’t recommend strafing, but rather, just run in a circle around them, in a single direction.

Above is Elegant Tux with Wither Goggles. With Shadow Goggles, the Midas Staff deals just over 2m damage. Note that the Hyperion has the same mana cost as the Midas Staff per use, but the Midas Staff does so much more damage per hit.

The Storm’s set will make you grind the event slower, as you do less damage. However, you have a ton more survivability, being able to take multiple shots from all mobs. You still do want to keep running around in a circle, as you don’t want to take too much damage.

For the weapon, there’s only 1 which I recommend: the Midas Staff.

It’s such a good weapon, and does so much damage per hit.

How about a Hyperion? Well… the thing is with the Hyperion, it does less damage per click, and you have limited mana. Mobs despawn if you take too long, meaning that if you were to use a Hyperion, you would run out of mana. So, you’d have to be in a party with other people to help you take out the Inquisidor.

I would also recommend getting a Frozen Scythe, to break down the Gaia Construct’s shield.

A Yeti Sword is decent, if you’re in a party and are afraid of getting killed.

For the pet, you’re stuck with the Legendary Griffin pet. I don’t recommend putting a textbook on there, as it will only increase your mana by a marginal amount. So instead, I would recommend just putting on a Lucky Clover pet item for more magic find.

Knowing What The Mobs Do

Most of the mobs can drop Antique Remedies, Crochet Tiger Plushies, and Dwarf Turtle Shelmets. They also drop Enchanted Gold, Enchanted Iron, and also Ancient Claws.

Only the Minotaur drops a Daedalus stick.

Only the Champion drops the Minos Relic.

Only the Inquisitor drops the Chimera Book.

Minos Hunter

This one’s nothing special. It’s the easiest mob you’ll face. Just attack it normally.

They only drop Ancient Claws as far as I’m aware.

Siamese Lynxes (2)

You only have to worry about these if you’re meleeing. Essentially with these, you have to alternate hits between the two. You can’t attack the same one twice in a row (as it’s invincible). If you look closely, the one that you can damage is marked with thundercloud particles.

If you mage these, you can pretty much kill both of these at the same time.

Minotaur

These throw axes/tomahawks at you in a straight line. It doesn’t do much damage, but you still want to avoid these as a mage. So, running around in circles is the best.

Minotaurs don’t have much health, so it’s still pretty easy to take these out with the proper gear.

Gaia Construct

Now this one is decently tough. Every few seconds, it will turn the blocks you’re standing on into Iron blocks, indicating that it’s about to strike it with lightning. So, you’ll want to make sure to keep moving, otherwise, it’ll strike you with lightning.

Basically, the difficult thing about this mob is that it has a shield/barrier that negates all damage. For the first 4-5 hits, you deal 0 damage, until the barrier gets taken away. After that, the next 1-2 hits you do will do damage, then the barrier will re-activate. So, you have to hit it a lot of times.

For this, you can either run around in circles, or just walk backwards slowly.

Why I highly recommend mage is because you can use a Frozen Scythe to take away its barrier, and then use the Midas Staff to one-shot it, assuming you went with the Tux route. With the Storm’s set, I’m unable to one-shot it, so you’ll need to spend a bit more time here. Make sure to keep moving, otherwise that lightning is going to hit you.

Minos Champion

This is fairly straight-forward. Just run around and keep dodging it if you’re a mage. If you’re meleeing it, then you have to make sure to keep hitting it for that life steal.

This doesn’t have too much health. However, if you’re meleeing, you want to make sure not to miss too many times, otherwise you won’t life steal enough.

It shoots a bow, so you don’t want to walk backwards in a straight line. You want to go around in circles.

With my Storm’s set, I 5-shot it. With Tux, however, I 4-shot it.

Minos Inquisitor

Now this is where it gets intense. The Minos Inquisidor puts some special effects on you. First, it lowers your overall health, and mana. So when fighting this, you definitely want to minimize the damage taken, especially from its bow. With melee, there’s nothing much to it other than attempting to corner it, or call for friends if you’re in a party.

If it spawns on the edge of the map… good luck. It despawns after roughly 1 minute, so if it falls off the map, there goes a lot of time. It does come back after reaching the void, but the chances of you killing it after it falls off are slim, as you’ll likely run out of time.

If you’re a mage, it gets a bit more difficult. You basically need to not miss your shots with the Midas Staff.
