Voting Gauntlet – Battle at the Beach

Voting gauntlet has just ended last Sunday night. It was pretty interesting on how it turned out. My result is … Check it out. You’d be surprised.

I have 2 heroes that I can choose for voting gauntlet – battle at the beach: Robin and Gaius. Robin has to fight Tiki, while Gaius has to fight Frederick. I decided to pick Gaius because I thought he had a higher chance of winning than Robin in the first round.

The first round was really uneventful. I only played a few times. I didn’t even get any multiplier bonus. My score was very small, but it’s good enough to get me in the 10,000-30,000 rank in the army.

Second round was a bit more interesting. It seemed that there are more Leo’s players than Gaius players. Whenever Gaius team has the bonus multiplier, Leo team got the bonus the next hour and Leo team managed to stay ahead. This time, I managed to get in a few multiplier bonus. Gaius was behind for the most part, but was able to squeak past Leo on the last bonus multiplier. I got 1~1,000 rank in the army.

The final round was a bit anti-climatic. Corrin won easily.

Based on my unscientific guess, there were more than 8 times players selecting Corrin than Gaius. Corrin score increase by about 800M/hour while Gaius is about 100M/hour. Gaius was behind all the time. He couldn’t get ahead of Corrin even with any bonus multiplier. Based on my wild guess ratio, Gaius needs about 16x ratio to be able to catch up or tip the scale against Corrin.

Gaius got the bonus multiplier almost every hour at the beginning. Then, every other hour. Then every about 3 hours at the end. Since there are so many bonus multiplier hour, I actually missed quite a few of them. I played sporadically. My rank fluctuated between 9-12K for the most part. However, during the last few hours of the voting gauntlet, my rank increased considerably. I guess other player run out of flags. Somehow, I was able to use all of my flags until the last hour.
