Tempest Trials – Auto-Battle Fail & Suggestions for Auto-Battle

Recently, while playing the Tempest Trials, I use the auto-battle mode, as usual. However, when I left my phone on the table and came back a few minutes later, I was met with this on the fourth map: Screenshot_20180227-200606153 Turns!? I immediately stopped it, surrendered, and found a new team. A new team lets you “reset” the turn count. I was confused and amazed. The computer apparently wanted to move Hector upwards, but wanted to move Fjorm and Ike downwards, but was unable to. My Maria doesn’t have her weapon to prevent her from going Kamikaze.

I was actually shocked. This map’s enemies stay still until you move into their range, so the enemy definitely won’t move. However, it was surprising that my heroes didn’t move either. This was the first time this auto-battle failed for me.

Speaking of auto-battle….

My Complaints with Auto-Battle:

Why do all my heroes fail so badly with the Auto-Battle?

It seems that in the Arena and Arena Assault, the Enemy always seems to play smartly, but here, I seem to lose all the time if I fight on Lunatic 5 or 7.

Suggestions? I would like to see auto-battle computer modes. For example, in Advance Wars: Dual Strike and Advance Wars Days of Ruin, you were able to set the computer to offensive and defensive modes. Maybe even set certain characters to be offensive and defensive. If Maria keeps her weapon, then she’ll be set to offensive mode, but if I remove her weapon, she will kind of be in defensive mode, but will still sometimes go into the red areas to heal. I wish that we were able to set Maria only to be defensive and stay out of the red zones, since without her weapon, she heals less (Physic+ = Heals for 50% of Unit’s Atk). This would help out immensely, because now, Maria is able to heal for more, rather than heal for less.

Update:

This happened to me again:

So I think there is something wrong with this map.
